AN evening of clairvoyance has raised more than £1,000 for mental health charity MIND.
The event was performed by David Taylor, a spiritualist and medium from Bolton, and organised by his wife Hazel, Lorraine Webb and Leanne Willan in memory of Hazel’s brother, who took his life a year ago.
More than 130 people attended the sell-out event at Little Lever Cricket Club, which provided the premises for free, and the event raised £1,110.
Raffle prizes were donated by a number of local businesses including a heated towel rail from Andy Holland Builders, a free driving lesson from Jim L Plates, and various items from Tom’s Toys shop.
Mrs Webb said: “Hazel found there were not really any support groups specifically that would have been able to help her brother — MIND would have probably been the only one, so she wanted to raise money for them.
“Her husband David is a medium so offered his services for the evening.
“The room was packed with people — it was a really good night and we are really pleased we raised so much for such a fantastic charity.”
