A TEENAGE beauty queen from Farnworth has launched the search for the face of a Bolton shopping centre.

The hunt is on for two determined, passionate and proud people to help boost the profile and breathe life into Market Place Shopping Centre, as part of exciting new plans.

More than 30 lads and girls will be invited to compete in the event, from 11am to 3pm to on Saturday, in a bid to impress Nicole Jackson and a panel of judges.

The 17-year-old former St James’ CE High School pupil, of Alexandra Street, once modelled for international jeweller Tresor Paris, as well as Market Place designer clothes shop DB3, and is looking for lads and girls to follow in her footsteps.

Nicole, who won Miss Teen Earth UK in 2010, Teen Face Of Europe 2011 and is a finalist in this month’s Miss Manchester, said: “It will be great, we’ve got a few special guests. There’s going to be a lot of things going on.

“People can come and watch as well.”

The contest is open to 17 to 25-year-olds and a male and female winner will be chosen after competing in two rounds — casual and evening wear.

The day of glitz and glamour will be hosted by Mellissa Travis, from ITV2 dating show Girlfriends, and finalists will pay £25 to enter which will be donated to Bolton Lads & Girls Club and the Miss Manchester Charity, Beauty with a Purpose.

There will be entertainment including Westhoughton singer Joe Keegan, who was seen impressing superstar coaches on this year’s series of The Voice, as well as giveaways and prizes.

To enter, email a photograph and brief information about yourself to info@dlclifestyle.co.uk by Thursday.

The event is free to watch or VIP tickets cost £5 and are available by email or phoning 07864 884011.
