A CELEBRATION to mark Bolton police cadets’ passing out parade was held in the town centre.
Chief Constable Sir Peter Fahy, Greater Manchester Police’s top police officer, presented the 27 cadets with certificates after they had undergone six months of training.
The cadets, who are aged between 15 and 19, demonstrated a drill for shoppers in Victoria Square yesterday afternoon.
Tony Lloyd, Greater Manchester’s chief and crime commissioner, was there along with Mayor of Bolton Cllr Colin Shaw while Chief Supt Shaun Donnellan, for Bolton and Wigan, also attended the passing out parade.
The teenagers and their families celebrated the achievement with tea and cake at Bolton Town Hall.
