A CELEBRATION has been held to mark 30 years of girl guiding in Lancashire.
Lancashire Border Guiding celebrated three decades since guiding was formed in the area, with an event at Trinity Church, Market Street, Farnworth.
Leaders, long-standing members, parents and guides of all ages, from across the county, came together to share stories, with guides Rachel Spencer and Lauren Hitchen giving an insight into guiding in India and working with charity Plan UK.
Susan Smart, county commissioner, said: “We have a strong sense of our past, and we move forward with fun.”
The 30-year celebrations welcomed local mayors and featured memories from former county commissioners, Betty Higham, Karen Booth, Carol Atkinson, Joyce Wiggins and Gina James.
