A WOMAN is thought to have been sexually assaulted near bushes in Bolton town centre.
The incident was reported to police at about 1am this morning, and is alleged to have happened near the junction of Crook Street and Trinity Street.
An area of bushes near the junction, at the edge of the Sainsbury's car park, was cordoned off by police this morning, and a police van was stationed nearby.
A police spokesman said: "Detectives have launched an investigation and the woman is being supported by specially trained officers."
No-one has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Police are appealing for anyone with information or anyone who was in the area in the early hours of this morning to contact them.
