A YOUNG girl was forced to re-enact scenes from a hardcore porn film her abuser made her watch, a court heard.

The child, who was aged between seven and 10, was repeatedly raped and forced to perform sex acts with David Thompson over a three-year period between 2009 and 2012, it was claimed at Bolton Crown Court.

The alleged abuse came to light when the girl confided in her sister, who told their mother.

A second girl then alleged Thompson had sexually abused her between 2005 and 2007, when she was aged between seven and nine.

At the start of the trial, Judge Peter Davies told the jury it was a difficult case and they would need to examine the evidence “objectively and dispassionately”.

He warned friends and relatives in the public gallery to “keep their feelings as concealed as possible”.

Thompson, aged 60, of Presto Gardens, Deane, denies six charges of rape, 12 counts of sexually assaulting a child under the age of 13, three charges of assaulting a child, six counts of causing a child to engage in sexual activity and three charges of causing a child to watch a sexual act.

Robert Golinski, prosecuting, told the court how the first girl revealed to police how she was shown DVDs Thompson kept hidden under the stairs at a house in Farnworth.

“(The girl) described these DVDs in considerable and, the prosecution says, shocking detail,” said Mr Golinski.

“After the defendant showed her this material he would take her upstairs and make her do some of the things they had been watching.”

He added that the young girl’s descriptions were “remarkable in their clarity”.

Following his arrest, Thompson claimed to police that he once caught the girl watching a video called “Perversion” and he turned off the television, but Mr Golinski told the jury: “Her knowledge of hardcore porn is as a result of being made to watch it with him, not of one glimpse.”

The case continues.
