POLICE have arrested and charged a second man in connection with a spate of robberies in Deane in January.
Karl McLoughlin appeared at Bolton Magistrates’ Court accused of three counts of robbery and three charges for possession of a kitchen knife.
McLoughlin, aged 40, of Thornbank South, Deane, will next appear at Bolton Crown Court on May 30.
He is accused of stealing £350 from Cabello Hair and Lounge in a robbery on January 18.
Two days earlier, it is alleged that he stole £200 from Talking Heads.
On January 19, he is accused of taking £60 from KC Top Shop in a third robbery.
McLoughlin is also charged with possessing a knife on all three of those dates.
