FIRST Bus took to Victoria Square to get customers on board with alterations to their services.

Hundreds of commuters enjoying the early summer sunshine received information about a number of improvements being brought in.

The 501 service between Chorley Old Road and Farnworth is being fitted with Wi-Fi, with the 571, 572 and 575 “Rivvy Rider” also set to follow suit over the coming weeks.

A new e-ticket has also been introduced to ease queuing times, along with a 10-trip Carnet Ticket, which can be used over an extended period of time.

First’s business manager Matt Rawlinson said: “It’s been good because people have been able to come down and give us feedback, which we always welcome and we are constantly reviewing our services.”
