AN ELDERLY MAN will go on trial for allegedly slashing his neighbour’s throat after entering a not guilty plea at Bolton Crown Court.
William Dutton, aged 89, of Breightmet Drive, Breightmet, is accused of causing grievous bodily harm with intent to neighbour, 60-year-old Steven Waring.
The incident allegedly took place in the front garden of a semi-detached house in Breightmet Drive, on January 26.
Dutton was granted bail until the trial, which will take place on August 11.
