TWO men on a motorbike carried out a daylight smash-and-grab robbery on a Farnworth shop.

At just after 10am yesterday, the pair rode up to the window of Cash Convertors in Market Street and began shattering windows and putting valuables into a bag.

After a few seconds, the pair rode off, leaving shards of glass on the pavement outside the shop.

Police cordoned off the shop and a police helicopter overhead probed the area for the bike.

As yet, no-one has been arrested, and detectives are urging anyone with information to get in touch by calling 101.
