CHILDREN enjoyed the sunny weather on Saturday to take part in a playdays event.

The event, which was laid on by Bolton Council, took place in Victoria Square and featured a range of activities, including hula hoops, croquet and skipping.

Among the excited youngsters to take part were Willow Herron, aged three, of Little Lever, Cleo Strange, aged eight, of Halliwell, and Rhianwen Parkinson, aged three.
