A PLUCKY youngster was back sitting his all important SATs the day after being hit by a car.
Eleven-year-old Bradley Spencer, a pupil at St Catherine’s CE Primary School in Horwich, suffered a broken nose and escaped with cuts and bruises following the accident in Crown Lane, Horwich, at 4.30pm on Wednesday.
The road was cordoned off as the emergency services dealt with the incident.
Mum Andrea, who lives with her family in Crown Lane, said: “I just want the driver to know he is completely fine.
“He seemed only young and looked very shocked by what had happened — it was just an accident.
“It looked worse than it was because Bradley had broken his nose, there was blood on his face and he was on the ground.
“The police had shut the road.”
She added: “When Bradley was waiting to be seen in hospital, all he would say was that he was going into school to sit his SATs the next day — that shows the sort of person he is.
“I am so proud of him and he is ok.”
