THE Reebok Stadium has a starring role in the World Cup.

The Bolton Wanderers ground is the backdrop to the new Head & Shoulders advert starring England goalkeeper Joe Hart.

Scenes depicting the Manchester City star changing and warming up in a tunnel before emerging into a floodlit stadium were shot at the Reebok.

A Wanderers spokesman confirmed it was used to make the advert earlier this year.

The shampoo advert, called The Walk, has been released in the run-up to the start of the World Cup in Brazil next month. Hart is shown lacing up his boots, pulling on an England jersey and ruffling his hair in a dressing room, with a Head & Shoulders bottle visible in a bag.

He walks through some of the stadium’s corridors before stopping in what appears to be a tunnel.

As if he is about to walk on to the pitch, Hart stares straight ahead in intense concentration, psyching himself up for what lies ahead.

He is then filmed walking up steps into a stadium, which is actually stairs fans at the Reebok use to get into the stand from the concourse.

The rest of the advert, which ends with the slogan “Ready to make it count” and the hashtag #HartRateMoment, features the goalkeeper on a pitch.

A Wanderers spokesman said: “Filming for this advert was done at the Reebok earlier this year.

“It is not the first one that has been done at the stadium and we are open to ideas if somebody approaches us."
