BOLTON Hospice is looking for celebrities from the borough to support its eighth annual Midnight Memories walk.
The eight-mile walk takes place on Saturday, June 21, and will involve more than 200 participants.
Comedian Peter Kay and actress Maxine Peake are both patrons of the hospice.
Maxine was a judge at the hospice Strictly competition, which saw Bolton News reporter Liam Thorp crowned champion with his dance partner Cathy Brown.
Maria Passarello, events manager for the hospice, said: “Our wish is for Bolton celebrities to join us on the night to represent our town and support our local hospice that will provide special care for their families and friends if this service is ever needed.
“Their support for this event would be a fantastic boost and would generate considerable interest from other potential supporters and the media alike.
"We want to make this a memorable night for everyone and we want Bolton people to be proud of their community and together we can all make a difference for our patients and their families.
“The celebrities make a big impact for national appeals and we are hoping that our Bolton celebrities can help support our very worthy cause.”
The eight-mile walk will start at midnight from Victoria Square, where there will be enter-tainment including live bands, dancing and a warm-up work out.
Participants will stop half way for a refreshments break at the Meadowhill Nursery, before returning to Victoria Square.
Registration for the walk is £15 and people can register online at boltonhospice.org.uk or can call the hospice on 01204 663055.
