PRIMARY school pupils in Little Lever and Darcy Lever collected as much litter as they could for a national event.
Six primary schools took part in the litter challenge for Keep Britain Tidy’s Big Jubilee Tidy Up.
Each primary school did a litter pick in their local area, with up to 60 children collecting as much litter as possible in two hours.
The children were supported by officers from Greater Manchester Police and Greater Manchester Fire Service.
The primary schools that took part were Bowness Community Primary School, Church Street, Little Lever; Mytham Primary School, Mytham Road, Little Lever; St Matthew's C of E Primary School, Norris Street, Little Lever; Masefield Community Primary School, Masefield Road, Little Lever; St Teresa’s RC Primary School, Redcar Road, Little Lever; St Stephen and All Martyrs C of E Primary School, Radcliffe Road, Darcy Lever.
