A FARNWORTH man has been given a suspended sentence after he admitted carrying a hunting knife in public.
Daniel Mather was jailed for eight weeks, suspended for 12 months at Bolton Magistrates Court yesterday.
A member of the pubic told a PCSO on patrol in Farnworth on May 7 that they had seen someone with a knife.
Mather, aged 35, of Wallbrook Grove, was caught in Cawdor Court and said it was his hunting knife. He had 26 previous convictions relating to 44 offences.
