Town’s first Muslim Scout group launches

BOLTON Wanderers star Abdoulaye Meite was helping launch the town's first Muslim Scout group today.
The Ivory Coast international will be joined by the Mayor of Bolton, Cllr Walter Hall, and new Cubs and Scouts at Sunning Hill School, Goldsmith Street, Bolton.
The Scout group is being set up by Bolton's Thinkers Forum community group, led by Farhat Abbas.
The evening will see the group formally presented with their Scouts registration certificate, and will feature demonstrations - including a first-aid drill - to give the budding Scouts a taste of what to expect.
