VOLUNTEERS worked with members of the Lancashire Wildlife Trust in a bid to spruce up an area of Johnson Fold.

The groups carried out work including the planting of flower seed and the spreading of recycled top soil in the Lightbounds Road area of the estate.

Members of the Johnson Fold Community Action group and staff from Bolton at Home were also involved — all in a bid to make the area look nicer.
