A NEW exhibition will take a look at local transport and celebrate the 125th birthday of the first locomotive built at the Horwich works.

The display will be shown at the Horwich Heritage Centre on Saturday, June 14, from 10am until 1pm and will be an affectionate look back at the trains, buses and trams of yesterday, including a vintage model railway and village.

The centre is celebrating 50 years since the last steam loco left the Horwich works.

Admission is free and everyone is welcome.
