A D-DAY celebration and tea dance was held at Horwich Resource Centre.
The lunch included entertainment by the Bourbon Street Roof Raisers with singing, dancing, a raffle and bingo.
The Horwich British Legion also had a stand collecting for this year’s Poppy Appeal.
The event was organised by Carol Walker and Barbara Ronson of the Tuesday and Friday luncheon clubs and was supported by Horwich Town Council, Manchester Forever and last year’s Horwich Town Mayor Cllr Christine Root.
