ANYONE interested in becoming a governor at the Bolton NHS Foundation Trust is invited to an information event.
Nominations will soon be open for governor elections in Bolton and hospital chiefs are encouraging candidates to come forward.
The seats up for election this year are Bradshaw, Bromley Cross, Crompton, Horwich North East, Little Lever and Darcy Lever and Smithills.
In their voluntary role, governors are in charge of appointing the chairman and non-executive directors, of deciding how much they should be paid, and, if they believe they are not doing their job correctly then they can ask them to resign their positions.
Nomination forms will be available from Wednesday, July 2 and must be completed by Friday, August 1.
People can found out more at the trust’s “listening” event at 6pm Wednesday, June 18 at the Bolton Albert Halls.
To obtain a form, call Katie Roper at UK Engage on 0345 209 3770.
