BOLTON residents cannot afford another year of the government ignoring the ‘cost of living crisis’, according to Labour MP Julie Hilling.

The MP for Bolton West called for reform of the energy market during a Parliamentary debate on the price of energy and housing, and a freeze on household bills.

Addressing Conservative MP Jeremy Lefroy, she said: “It is not only about a 20-month freeze, but about reforming the energy market.”

Mr Lefroy said energy markets needed reform.

He added: “But to expect that that will keep energy prices frozen, or at least at a stable level, when we are subject to world energy prices is to some extent pie in the sky.”

IT was Labours Tony Blair that signed up to the EU Carbon trading agreements, costing us billions in energy subsidies for "pie in the sky" wind and solar power that has caused the increase in Bills, the quicker she realises this and that UKIP are the only answer maybe the better

Yes Julie, what the country needs is a Labour Government who will sign up to European union legislation which will allow a mass influx of people who have made no contribution to our community and deprive young people of apprenticeships in well paid trades such as electrical, plumbing,
bricklaying, painting and decorating. In turn this will impact on other areas such as crime, welfare, health
,housing and subsequently deny the working class of the party they set up to protect them.
This will have further consequences, the main one being an upturn in racism from a once proud country which was once comfortable with a level of immigration which,on the whole, embraced racial harmony.

Oh dear that ship sailed ten years ago and the cost of living crisis was sown with Labour policy.
