FIRE crews in Bolton staged the 14th strike of a nine-month row with the government over pension changes.
Bolton Central, Bolton North and Farnworth were occupied by stand-in crews from 10am to 5pm today.
The Fire Brigades Union (FBU) held the longest strike of the dispute earlier this month when crews walked out for 24 hours from 9am on June 12.
There were no reports of any serious incidents in Bolton while the crews were striking.
Union members are protesting over the government's plans to increase pension contributions and raise the retirement age for firefighters from 55 to 60.
However, the UK government has accused the FBU of disrupting discussions.
