SUMMER fun was in abundance at Sharples High School on Saturday when it held its seasonal fete.

Highlights included sponge and gunge the teacher.

Other attractions included craft and gifts stalls, and a demonstration by the school’s cheerleading team, as well as scientific experiments.

And Lofty the Lion, Bolton Wanderers’ mascot also made an appearance and football fans had a chance to take part in a supershoot.
