A PETITION and Facebook group have been set-up to campaign for traffic lights to be installed at the spot where Horwich-born teenager Aaron Tulsa Jones, pictured, was killed.
Aaron and his girlfriend, Amy Hobson, aged 22, were killed after their car was involved in a crash with two other cars on the East Lancs Road on Sunday.
Now, family members of the couple have set up the social media group calling for traffic lights to be installed at the junction on the East Lancs where the couple were killed.
The group, entitled Traffic Lights Between Barton Road and the A5185 Lancaster Road junction, has already amassed more than 3,500 likes on Facebook.
The petition has already amassed more than 2,700 signatures.
It reads: “Prevention needs to be put in place to avoid any other family suffering a loss like this.
“We want to sort something out so this couple did not die in vain. We need traffic lights at this junction. Please help.”
