THE family of a young woman killed in a horror crash on the East Lancashire Road last week have paid tribute to the “most loving, caring and happiest daughter anyone could ever have.”

On Sunday June 22, just before 5pm, the car that 22-year-old Amy and her boyfriend, Horwich-born Aaron Jones, aged 19, were travelling in was crashed into by an Audi RS3 and an Audi S3 which were travelling eastbound on the East Lancs, near to the junction with Barton Road.

Mr Jones suffered multiple injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Miss Jones, a mother-of-one, also suffered serious injuries and died later in hospital.

In a statement her family said: “Amy was a wonderful mummy to her three-year-old son, never seen without a smile on her face no matter how she was feeling.

“Amy didn’t only leave her son behind she left behind her two sisters, her brother and her two nephews who she adored.

Amy’s brother Nathan said: "I’m constantly thinking about my gorgeous sister Amy, It will never be the same without her."

Lyndsay, Amy’s older sister, said: "I’ll miss the bickering between us and the cosy chats we had together."

Her younger sister, Courtney, added: “‘I’m gonna miss the funny chats we had and how she used to say ‘check them eyebrows’ to me.”

Her mother and father, Janet Hobson and Karl Riley said: “We sit there waiting for that one text or phone call to ask us if we will go and pick her up.
"Amy was the most loving, caring and happiest daughter anyone could ever have."

“Amy will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. The family relationship we all had was a metal chain that no matter what happens, no one will break us. We will all miss you and love you loads."
