A LONG-established vets provided some animal magic in a Bolton park on Saturday to say thanks to its loyal customers.

More than 300 people turned up to the summer sizzler fun day in Leverhulme Park, which was run by staff at Regan Veterinary Group.

The firm's staff were out in force to thank their clients, and they joined in with a dog show and a canine flyball contest.

There was also a birds of prey demonstration laid on by the Lancashire Hawks and Owls Group.

Proceeds from the day’s activities were expected to top £1,000 and split between Derian House Children’s Hospice in Chorley and the RSPCA’s Bolton branch.

The event was organised by Regan’s marketing co-ordinator Alison Holt and admin co-ordinator Lisa Coulborn, who said: “This was our chance to say thank you to our clients and it turned out to be a really good day.

“There was a really relaxed tone to it and the animal activities were very popular.”

Regan Veterinary Group opened 30 years ago and now has 11 surgeries in the Manchester area, with three in Bolton, as well as one each in Radcliffe, Bury, and Prestwich.

The firm employs more than 60 people.
