BOLTON is bathed is scorching temperatures and sunshine today... but the bad news is the heatwave is not set to last.

Youngsters made the most of the sunshine as the temperature reached 27C yesterday and today they could be as high as 28C.

Youngsters from Blackrod Church School and St Andrew’s School in Crescent Avenue were certainly cool dudes as they relaxed with their sunglasses in the sunshine.

However, the summer sunshine could be short-lived as torrential rain is forecast tomorrow with temperatures dropping to 24C.

On Sunday it will be cloudy with sunny intervals, although cooler at 21C.
