HISTORY buffs will share tales of the bravery of their ancestors at a World War One research exhibition at Radcliffe Library.
An exhibition detailing the lives of the more than 600 soliders whose names are listed on Radcliffe’s Cenotaph will begin this Tuesday (August 5).
Poems, letters from abroad and census information are on permanent display as a resource for anyone who is researching their family history or wants to find out more.
Members of the public who have letters, poems or memorabilia are being asked to lend these to the collection.
An open day will be held on Tuesday between 10am and 4.30pm, where staff and volunteers will outline the information they have collected so far.
Staff and volunteers will be on hand to outline the information they have collected and to help residents use the library’s free access to Ancestry and Find My Past. Old copies of the Radcliffe Times will be available to read.
