THIS is the man detectives are hunting for in connection with a town centre attack that left a father with a brain haemorrhage.

Victim Nathan Picton, aged 22, spent five days in hospital after he was punched in En-Vogue bar in Bradshawgate, Bolton, in the early hours of Monday, July 21.

The Breightmet father-of-two daughters was rushed to hospital hours after the attack after suffering from blurred vision and sickness.

He suffered a brain haemorrhage and has been signed off work for three months.

Police have now issued photographs of a man they want to speak to in connection with the attack.

He is seen wearing distinctive clothes including a white T-shirt with 72 written on the front in black, bright blue shorts and black trainers with yellow laces.

He has short dark hair, facial hair and is stocky.

Sharon Poole, Mr Picton’s 42-year-old mother, has made a desperate plea for anyone with information about the suspect to contact police.

Miss Poole said: “If it was your son you would want people to come forward and speak to police.

"Somebody might not be so lucky next time.

"Nathan was out cold, unconscious, on the floor of En Vogue but the person who did this might not know what Nathan’s injuries were.

"Hopefully he will bring himself forward to police.

“Nathan is now off work for three months - he cannot do any contact sports again and is not allowed to be left alone with his 22-month-old daughter as he might suffer from seizures.”

Police said anyone with information about the pictured man can call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111, quoting crime number 109455H/14 or the suspect can go to Bolton Police Station in Scholey Street.
