THIS is the man detectives are hunting for in connection with a town centre attack that left a father with a brain haemorrhage.

Victim Nathan Picton, aged 22, spent five days in hospital after he was punched in En-Vogue bar in Bradshawgate, Bolton, in the early hours of Monday, July 21.

The Breightmet father-of-two daughters was rushed to hospital hours after the attack after suffering from blurred vision and sickness.

He suffered a brain haemorrhage and has been signed off work for three months.

Police have now issued photographs of a man they want to speak to in connection with the attack.

He is seen wearing distinctive clothes including a white T-shirt with 72 written on the front in black, bright blue shorts and black trainers with yellow laces.

He has short dark hair, facial hair and is stocky.

Sharon Poole, Mr Picton’s 42-year-old mother, has made a desperate plea for anyone with information about the suspect to contact police.

Miss Poole said: “If it was your son you would want people to come forward and speak to police.

"Somebody might not be so lucky next time.

"Nathan was out cold, unconscious, on the floor of En Vogue but the person who did this might not know what Nathan’s injuries were.

"Hopefully he will bring himself forward to police.

“Nathan is now off work for three months - he cannot do any contact sports again and is not allowed to be left alone with his 22-month-old daughter as he might suffer from seizures.”

Police said anyone with information about the pictured man can call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111, quoting crime number 109455H/14 or the suspect can go to Bolton Police Station in Scholey Street.

Ok so let's look at narrowing this down.

Police are looking for a Neanderthal with the dress sense of a blind mans blind guide dog that has had its eyes gouged out and made to wear a blindfold under a darkened visor Crash helmet. Has a face like a slapped backside and has clearly escaped from a mental ward in matalan judging by the snazzy ankle socks.

Oh yeah and if you spot a gangly goose without its legs we know whose got them too.

Hope the lad injured recovers soon and good luck Bolton Police catching the cretin responsible.

FFS People, it is not the clothes he wearS it is the thug inside them...

The way people dress has nothing to do with the individual inside them.

A few years ago a Gothic girl Sophie Lancaster was beaten to death and her boyfriend viciously set upon and left in a coma by thugs on a park, because of the way she dressed.

It is the attitudes of people who do not like a certain type of dress code that is also dangerous, the mind of a thug is also in those who wear suits, dresses, kilts and who knows what other clothing a violent person decides to wear.

On another day this particular thug might be wearing a skintight leotard and does ballet... IT DOES NOT THE CLOTHES BUT THE INDIVIDUAL INSIDE THEM - REMEMBER THAT!!!

ALSO... does anyone commenting know what actually transpired to start the altercation. I totally get that a punching incident should never happen, but the circumstances could have actually been the other way around...

I hope the other guy makes a full recovery, but to start demonizing people because of the way they dress is just fickle and narrow minded.

I wear 'stand out' clothes and t-shirts and trainers (as we have just passed the hottest part of the year) I don't go around attacking people. It has absolutely nothing to do with what someone wears, being violent is a mental state not a fashion choice. Yes he is in the wrong for what he did, but at the same time, you spend time in dives like that and expect trouble. You're a product of your environment, vogue or en vogue as it is now has always been full of idiots. But judging someone off what clobber they wear is just as idiotic
