Hospital worker knocked down in car accident
A HOSPITAL worker transporting dirty linen to a laundrette was injured after being knocked down in a car accident.
The 62-year-old man was pushing a laundry cage along Minerva Road at about 11am on Tuesday when a Fiat Punto reversed into the cage, knocking him to the floor.
The Royal Bolton Hospital worker suffered “minor” head injuries and is now taking time off.
A spokesman for the Bolton NHS Foundation Trust said: “There was a collision on the Royal Bolton Hospital site on Tuesday involving a car and a male member of staff who was on foot transporting laundry in cages.
“The staff member sustained some injuries and is currently off work. The police were involved at the time.”
Police are treating it as an accident.
