SIR Ian McKellen has hilariously recreated a scene from Lord of the Rings – with a passing seagull.
The actor, who played Gandalf in the trilogy, uploaded a photo to Twitter of himself walking behind a seagull waddling down the street a few feet in front of him, with the caption “fly you fool!”
The line was lifted from when his character fell from the Bridge of Khazad Dum as he battled the Balrog in The Fellowship of the Ring.
Uploading the photo, he added the caption: “Fly, you fool! On the streets of Rye with one of the famous seagulls, while filming #MRHOLMES nearby.”
The 75-year-old former Bolton School pupil is currently filming Mr Holmes where he plays the aging sleuth Sherlock Holmes.
