A LANDLORD will be sentenced after failing to correct hazards in five flats within a deadline given by Bolton Council.

Philip Dean, aged 69, was unable to attend the hearing at Bolton Magistrates Court as his wife was unwell.

The charges relate to a home owned by Dean in Chorley Old Road.

Isobel Gray, defending Dean, entered guilty pleas on his behalf, to six counts of failing to comply with regulations in respect of management of housing multiple occupation.

Dean, of Ravensdale Road, Lostock, failed to install a programmable heating system to the flats, failed to ensure fire alarms were maintained in working order, failed to display his name, address and contact number and failed to ensure the home was maintained in good order.

He will appear at Bolton Magistrates Court for sentencing on September 2.
