THE borough’s education boss has congratulated this year’s students for their hard work over the past two years.

Cllr Kevin McKeon, cabinet member for schools, said: “I would like to congratulate the teachers and students for their hard work in achieving such fantastic results.

“I would also like to thank the parents and families who have supported the students through their exams.

“Everyone should be very proud to see our young people celebrating today.”

The Connexions Careers Service is available to help students rethink their options if their results were not as they expected.

Students whose results were better than they had anticipated can obtain careers advice and guidance about courses and options that they may not have previously considered open to them, while students who are disappointed with their results can discuss their circumstances with the service and reconsider their future plans.
