EIGHTEEN-year-old Shanice Black is off to the University of Bolton with her trusted friend, guide dog Claud, after achieving top grades in her health and social care course at Bolton Sixth Form College.

She said: “I got Claud half-way through my course, and he has been coming to college with me everyday and will be coming to university. I worked really hard and am really excited about going to university.”
