YOUNG writers were inspired to reach their writing goals in a special day which teamed sport with literacy.
Turton School staged a Lend Me Your Literacy day, giving budding writers in years seven and eight a chance to meet children’s author Liz Kessler before taking part in a game of football — and writing about it.
Their stories are now available to read on the LendMeYour Literacy website to be shared with other inspiring writers and give their writing a global audience.
