THREE fire engines and an ambulance were called to an address in Heaton after a caller reported someone threatening to start a fire.
A resident of Marlborough Street, Bolton, called 999 at just before 1pm today claiming a fire had started or that someone had threatened to start one, the fire service said.
However, when crews arrived, there was no fire.
A fire service spokesman said: “Because of the category of call that this kind of call falls in to, we sent three fire engines and there was also an ambulance and a hazardous area response team sent.
“When we arrived, we found no signs of a fire or any other incident and advice was given to the caller.”
