A 12-YEAR-OLD girl was rescued by firefighters from the roof of a house in Atherton.
Crews were scrambled to Bowling Green Row at 2.30am today to reports of a girl crawling out of an attic window after being frightened during the night.
The girl was on the roof for about 25 minutes altogether.
Firefighters climbed to the top of the three-storey house to persuade the girl to get down.
She escaped from the incident unhurt.
Atherton watch manager Dave Holden said: "Certainly 12-year-old girls can be unpredictable when they are frightened.
"It is not something we tackle every day but we train for unique incidents such as this."
