A SCHOOL flooded yesterday after a water main burst.
Fire crews spent five-and-a-half hours mounting a clear-up operation at Thornleigh Salesian College in Sharples Park.
They were called at about 4pm on October 22, with up to six classrooms damaged by the standing water.
United Utilities were also called to fix the burst pipe.
The school has not been forced to close as a result of the flood, with pupils set to break up for half-term tomorrow.
