A MAN accused of driving a Land Rover into a town centre pub has appeared in court.

Craig Durham, aged 41, is charged with criminal damage, dangerous driving and being reckless as to whether life was endangered.

The offences relate to a silver Land Rover Discovery smashing into the Dog and Partridge pub in Manor Street at 5.30pm on October 29.

Durham, who had a brown beard and was wearing a black and white hooped sweatshirt, did not enter a plea.

He was remanded on bail by magistrates yesterday, with several conditions attached.

He must reside at his parents’ address, stay home between 7pm and 6am each night and wear an electronic tag.

Durham, of Bolton Road, Kearsley, is also not allowed to enter a motor vehicle, except as a passenger.

His case will next be heard at Bolton Crown Court on November 21 at 9.30pm.
