Pedestrian taken to hospital after being hit by a car during rush hour
A PEDESTRIAN was taken to hospital with a suspected head injury after being hit by a car during a rush hour.
Emergency services were called to Blackburn Road just before 6.30pm.
The 25-year-old had been hit by a Fiat Punto.
Police said he was “conscious and breathing” and was taken to hospital for assessment.
