Peter Kay is on song again for Comic Relief

BOLTON comedian Peter Kay will once again be in good voice for Comic Relief.

Two years ago the comedian - behind hit shows such as Phoenix Nights and Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere - stormed to the tops of the charts with (Is This The Way To) Amarillo, along with singer Tony Christie.

Although McFly's All About You was the official Comic Relief song, Peter's track raised huge amounts for the charity.

And this year he hopes to do equally as well with The Proclaimers' I'm Gonna Be (500 miles).

Peter, along with Little Britain star, Matt Lucas, are the brains behind the charity single.

Other big names to appear in the video include Showaddywaddy, Paul O'Grady, The Krankies, Dave Lee Travis, Bonnie Langford, Peter Waterman, Tony Blackburn, a David Beckham lookalike, Tess Daly, Louis Walsh, Clare Grogan, Status Quo, Bill Odie, Kathy Staff, Des Lynam and The Proclaimers.

How can Bolton be such a terrible place as many "commentators" in this column seem to think when we have wonderful people such as Peter Kay and others supporting the twon and making us happy?

I used to love Peter Kay, but now he's looking more and more like a one trick pony. He's obnoxious when being interviewed and relies on tales about his Nan all the time.Watching Parkinson fawn all over him every time he's on the show makes me feel nauseous.I'm proud of being from 'oop North' but with Peter Kay constantly touted as a great ambassador for us, it makes me cringe. The only good thing here about this story for me, is that at least he's making money for Charity.
Vernon Kay....now I definitely could go for him!!!

Thats good to hear. Its also nice to hear McFly have moved the release of their new single from Febuary 26th to April so that they could go to Africa once again and also help Comic Relief out more. I hear the Official Comic Relief song is awful this year.

Oh dear, I thought they were going to Spain. We'll have to put up with more rubbish. Is there any decent comedians out there? Don't even think of Spikey or his name is.
