A BANK was evacuated this morning after smoke from a nightclub fire triggered an alarm.
The alarm went off at Yorkshire Bank at about 8.30am, after fumes from the aftermath of a blaze at En-Vogue nightclub in Bradshawgate spread into the building.
Two fire engines from Bolton Central station attended the scene and a full assessment of the building was carried out using a thermal imaging camera.
No one was harmed and crews had left the scene by 9.45am.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were sent down to the bank at 8.38am after smoke from En Vogue set off an alarm.
"Firefighters have informed us there is no sign of a fire in the building."
