A CAR overturned after hitting a lamppost in icy weather in Little Lever.
The driver managed to free himself from the car before a crew from Bolton Fire Station arrived at the scene on Radcliffe Road at around 3.05pm today, Sunday.
The road was shut for a short while between Crow’s Nest and Dove Bank Road.
Crew manager Rick Henthorne said: “The roads have been really slippery as there has been a lot of ice around today. Drivers need to watch their speed in those conditions.”
