FOUR people have been arrested after a series of shootings in a Little Hulton street.

Shots were fired in Crescent Drive on Wednesday, January 14 and on Monday this week.

Armed police were sent to the scene on January 26, where they found damage to a window which they said was consistent with a shotgun blast.

No one was injured.

Police believe both were targeted attacks and are linked.

A 26-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit firearms offences.

A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of a breach of the Firearms Act, and a 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences.

All have been bailed until March 25.

Supt Mark Kenny said: “We continue to investigate what we believe are targeted attacks as part of an ongoing dispute and I would urge anyone with information to come forward.

“I understand this has caused concern within the local community and I want to send reassurance that we are investigating thoroughly and have extra police patrols in the area.

“If you were in the Crescent Drive area around the time of the incident, I would urge you to contact police.”
