Firefighters called after man heard shouting for help trapped on roof of Voodoo bar in Bolton town centre at 6am
FIREFIGHTERS were called after a man was heard shouting for help trapped on the roof of a town centre night club at 6am.
When a crew from Bolton central fire station arrived at Voodoo bar in Bradshawgate this morning there was no sign of anyone trapped, but firefighters used a hydraulic platform to get up to the roof and found the man stranded.
It understood he had been drinking and had no idea how had got up to the roof or how he had become trapped.
Firefighters rescued the man — bringing him back down to street level using the hydraulic platform.
Earlier, a passer-by had heard the man shouting for help from the roof and called the fire service.
The man declined hospital treatment.
