THE line up for May's Boltfest music festival in Queens Park has been unveiled.

The festival, which will exclusively feature tribute bands of some of the world's most well known rock and pop acts, will see headline performances from The Doors Alive, and Guns Or Roses.

The event will take place on the Bank Holiday Weekend of Saturday, May 23, and Sunday, May 24, with bands performing from 11.30am until 10pm on both days.

Tickets will be free, with people paying a small booking fee. In addition, 100 VIP tickets will be released for each day costing £10, with proceeds going to charity.

VIP tickets include a private bar and separate toilets.

The Guns and Roses tribute band headline Saturday, with other bands including Fu Fighters, the AC/DC Experience, Megadeth UK, Rage Against the Machine tribute act Enraged, Reet Hot Chili Peppers, Black Sabbath tribute act Ozzbest, Pantera UK and Blink-182 tribute act 182.

Sunday's line up is headlined by The Doors Alive, with performances from Led Into Zeppelin, Royal Blood tribute act Loyal Blood, The White Stripes tribute act The White Striped, Manic Street Preachers tribute act Manic Street Creatures, Jimi Hendrix tribute act Are You Experienced, Nirvana tribute act In Bloom, Pearl Jam tribute act Pearl Scam, and U2 tribute act U2 Tribe.

More acts are set to be announced, to play over the festival's three stages.

Other attractions at the festival will include a food and market area, kids activities, as well as a beer tent.

The event has been organised by Jools Taylor, the man behind the popular Festwich festivals, held in Prestwich.

He said: "We have worked really hard to bring an amazing line up to Queens Park and we have managed to secure the best tribute in Europe to The Doors — The Doors Alive! The Doors Alive will headline and close the festival on the Sunday night.

"The Doors Alive is quite simply the most exciting, authentic, charismatic and (self proclaimed) sexually magnetic tribute band to pay homage to 1960's rock titans The Doors.

"The band have worked tirelessly to achieve the same fluid, dark and heady sounds as The Doors at their psychedelic peak.

"Their heavy and ever expanding touring schedule has included to date; the UK, Dubai, the Middle East, the Netherlands, Ireland, Poland, Malta, Germany, France and Slovenia.

"In their wake, they leave thousands of Doors fans satisfied, yet hungry for their next show."

Tickets will be on sale from 9am on Friday at boltfest.com or ticketline.co.uk
