PARENTS are being warned to know where their children are after police received reports of more than 100 children on a bridge over the M61 and A666 near Kearsley.
The children have been gathering on the bridge into Blackleach Country Park on Friday evenings and are putting themselves in danger, police say.
Now police are asking parents to make sure they know where their children are, what they doing and who with.
A police spokesman said: "These children have been reported to have been drinking alcohol and potentially putting themselves in danger.
"Of late there have also been three reports of serious incidents in that vicinity.
"The police will be involved in high vis patrols in the area and speaking with the children but we need your help to protect them."
