HOLLYWOOD actor Sir Ian McKellen has treated his Twitter followers to a selfie — from 21 years ago.
The 75-year-old uploaded a blurry photo of himself with Iron Man actor Robert Downey Jr from when they were filming on the set of Restoration in 1994.
The former Bolton School pupil: "An early example of a selfie by Robert Downey Jr with me on the set of Restoration."
Sir Ian, a patron at Bolton Little Theatre, is an active user of social media keeping his followers up to date with his career.
